An AI-powered platform matching songs with music, TV/film, gaming, and advertising industry needs, based on deep comprehension of lyrics, music and sonics. Among other advantages, this enables songwriters at large place songs with various opportunities solely based on song merits, rather than personal connections or industry access.
Finding the right song (music and lyrics) for a creative project is a tedious, manual process for TV/Film/ad executives, artists and video game creators. Song discovery requires listening to hundreds of irrelevant songs through an avalanche of new incoming material and massive in-house catalogs
(1) Musiio, a SaaS company that uses machine learning mostly in order to ‘tag’ songs (statically) for music libraries. They (and a few similar others) offer sonic analysis (genre, instruments, bpm), blind to lyrics and composition (2) Songtradr - a music licensing marketplace Our competitive advantage: Songs are intricate creatures. Lyrical, musical and sonic subtleties differentiate between a perfect match and a waste of time- between mediocrity and greatness. Our proprietary AI truly understands the underlying song magic - and is able to find far superior matches to anything else out there, in any usecase which requires such subtle understanding
A subscription fee for both the supply (songwriters, catalog owners) and demand side (TV/Film, Ads, Gaming) for using Songmine’s song search to better maximize/fully map catalogs. Integration fee for catalog owners at $0.2-$1 per song. Monthly SaaS fee of $2,500-5,000 per single commercial entity license or $200 per user (depending on level of use: Web, Mobile and/or including SongCrunch access). Annual plan for songwriters at $10 per month allows for 3 song submissions.
We're already working with some of the biggest music companies (Universal Music, MPL), song funds (Hipgnosis) and ad agencies (McCann) in the world, as well as 12,000 aspiring songwriters worldwide. We intend to attract additional companies of this caliber by leveraging our outstanding advisory board, networking and pitching our products at industry conferences, and marketing to more talented emerging songwriters
In addition to the aforementioned esteemed companies and thousands of songwriters we’ve already onboarded, we're proud graduates of Universal Music's exclusive Abbey Road RED program in London and Capitol Records' gBeta in LA, as well as Deloitte's LaunchPad Growth program. We also won the MassChallenge 2018 gold award and Music Week's 2021 Tech Summit. Amongst the songs submitted on SongSource (launched late 2021) via social media campaigns and artist accelerator partnerships, our AI has already pulled out several songs that matched specific references provided by A&Rs at DefJam, Warner and others. A talented singer-songwriter from San Diego got his song directly into the hands of Anderson Paak’s team via an A&R veteran using Songmine and a band from Milwaukee was picked out by our partner, famed songwriter/producer Evan “Kidd” Bogart (Rihanna, Beyoncé)” who runs his own publishing company- Seeker Music. Before the official launch, we also ran successful pilots in Israel, collecting songs for acclaimed Israeli performing artists, such as songwriter and X-factor mentor Ivri Lider. Lider received thousands of songs submitted by Israeli songwriters and ultimately selected 20 of his favorites to work with. Up Next: Launching a full-scale marketplace: a hub where ‘buyers’ and ‘sellers’ of music find songs that are most suitable for their creative and commercial needs for all creative industries, by using intuitive search mechanisms that have access to tens of millions of available songs, ranging from from indie to premium.
